EASY HOME MADE PIZZA WITHOUT OVEN

Pizza is an Italian dish, but it has become famous all over the world. It consists of a thin layer of bread dough topped with a sauce usually tomato-based, cheese, and other toppings such as olives, oregano, vegetables, and meat, etc. Toppings can be changed according to our taste.

Here we are discussing easy homemade chicken pizza without an oven. Most of the people do not have an oven in their homes so we can make pizza using a Tawa or bake in our stovetop itself.

INGREDIENTS.
                              
      
FOR PIZZA DOUGH.
  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour, plus additional if needed. 
  •   1 1/2 tablespoon of instant dry yeast.
  •   cup of lukewarm water.
  •   1 tablespoon of sugar.
  •   tablespoon of refined oil/olive oil.
  •   salt as required.
FOR CHICKEN FRYING.
    . 1 cup boneless chicken [ cut into small cubes].
  • tablespoon of pepper powder.
  • 2 teaspoon of lemon juice.
  • salt as required.
  • Oil for frying.
FOR TOPPINGS.
  • 1/2 cup onion [chopped] .
  • 1/2 cup capsicum [chopped]
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese as much as needed. 
  • 2 tablespoon of pizza sauce.
  • 2 pinch of oregano.

FOR PIZZA SAUCE.
  • 2 teaspoon of garlic [finely chopped].
  • 1 onion        [finely chopped].
  • 3 tomatoes   [medium- sized]
  • 1/2 teaspoon of oregano.
  • 2 tablespoon of tomato ketchup.
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon of oil/refined oil.
PREPARATION

PIZZA DOUGH.

1. Dissolve the sugar and yeast in lukewarm water, let it stand for 5 to 10 minutes, or until foamy then add oil. Mix the flour and salt in a large mixing bowl, make a well in the center, add the yeast mixture to it. Knead well, dust your hand with little flour and gently shape into a ball. 

2.Transfer into a greased bowl and sprinkle some oil over it, cover with a clean wet cloth and allow to rise until its doubled in size, about 1 to 2 hrs. 


PIZZA SAUCE.

1. Put sliced tomatoes in a blender and make it a paste and set aside.

2. Heat a pan add the olive oil or any refined oil and chopped garlic saute for 2 minutes on low heat.

3. Then add chopped onion and cook until they turn slightly golden.

4. Add the tomato paste and stir for 5 minutes on medium heat, Then the sauce is slightly thick.

5. Then add chilly powder, oregano, salt, sugar mix well and stir for 2 minutes.

6. Remove from the heat and let it cool completely. Add 2 tablespoons of tomato ketchup. The pizza sauce is ready. If you want to store the sauce, pour into an airtight jar, and keep in a refrigerator for 1 week.

TOPPINGS.

1. Marinate the chicken pieces with salt, pepper powder, lemon juice, and fry.

2. In the same oil saute the onion and capsicum for 5 minutes. Adjust the salt.


COOKING PIZZA USING TAWA. 

1. Take one portion of dough, dust a little flour, and roll gently into a slightly thin circle.

2. Meanwhile, heat the tawa (non-stick or cast iron). Sprinkle some oil and carefully place the dough. Prick the base with the help of a fork to prevent the pizza fluffing up like chappathi. Cook over low heat until small bubbles form.

3. Flip the other side and cook for a minute. 

4. Then spread the pizza sauce evenly over the base, but leave the edges. Add some shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce. 

5. Then add sauteed onion, capsicum, fried chicken pieces, again add cheese on top as much as needed, sprinkle 2 pinches of oregano also. 

6. Now cover the pan and cook for 10 minutes on low heat or till the cheese melts completely. 

Finally, tawa pizza is ready. Slice and serve hot.


We can bake the pizza on our stovetop also. 

BAKING ON STOVETOP

1. Heat up a large non-stick or stainless steel vessel for 10 minutes with the lid on it. Place a stand or a steel plate

2. On a floured surface, roll out the dough gently into a thin circle. 

3. Transfer the rolled pizza base on a baking tray, then prick the base with a fork. 

4. Spread the pizza sauce evenly on the pizza base but leave the edges. Add some shredded mozzarella cheeses over the sauce, then add sauteed onion, capsicum, fried chicken. 

5. Again add the cheese on top as much as needed. Sprinkle 2 pinch of oregano. 

6. Now place the tray in the vessel, close tightly with a lid, and let it go on medium heat for 15 to 20 minutes. 

7. The easy homemade pizza is ready. Serve hot and enjoy the cheesy pizza. 

Notes:

1. You can freeze the dough to use it later. After the pizza dough has risen, divide into equal portions, coat all sides of dough with oil. Place the dough into plastic bags, and remove the air, seal it properly.you can freeze for 3 months. When you are ready to cook the pizza, take the dough from the freezer, place it in the refrigerator and allow it to defrost for 5 to 6 hours. Take it out from the refrigerator then let it sit at room temperature for 30 minutes before making the pizza base.
